The craziest color leather sofa I ever saw was blue and orange. Yikes! Some happy Boise State Bronco fan I guess. Leather can be dyed almost any color, but obviously the browns, blacks and tans are the most popular. These don't clash with most interiors as much as green, blue, red, orange, or some other bright color might. When I recently recovered my leather dining chairs I got swatches of all sorts of colors to consider. It was a fun process, but in the end I ended up opting for a classic dark brown.
Most of you might be wondering about the importance of the bumpers, right? Well, when you place a furniture unit without the bumpers on the floor, it often leads to formation of deep scratches or scuff marks on the area of floor where its legs rest. While a furniture unit having wooden legs might be less damaging, the same having metal legs can commonly lead to permanent deep marks, scratches or discoloring of floor surface in that area.
The most defining characteristic of this style is that the furniture pieces are almost always made of Mahogany, and they feature several colored inlays and geometric designs imbibed in them. Some more of its instantly recognizable characteristics are that it is extremely light, feature long straight lines, tapered legs, and contrasting veneers. If all these aspects are easily noticeable, then the furniture item is Federal or has at least derived its design from it in some manner.
