so my 2008 resolutions are up. go here to see what i plan to not accomplish this upcoming year.

one of the resolutions is to renovate my apartment.

i keep going back and forth: do i move? where do i move? how do i move? so finally, cuz what i really want, effort free is a condo with everything for the price i pay now, near to where i grew up but it would kill fh in commuting time and therefore be a horrible bloody mess cuz he’d feel cut off from z and blah blah…

so finally, cuz he wants us to move up to his neighbourhood and what is there up there tha i want anything to do with? oh wait, nothing. just him and his family and as you all know, that’s not a constant wish, the having anything to do with spectrum, so.

i’m not moving.

i’m staying right where i am until we have a great reason to move or we outgrow our space. i’m going to paint. i’m going to clean it all up. i’m going to act as if this is my place and make it look how i want it to.

the kitchen and bedroom will be bright white and the colour on the left, the bathroom and living room also bright white (accents) with the right colour. what do we think?

for your viewing enjoyment, z rocks out to back pack. this toy and rainy day visits to the sears toy department taught her to say “maaaaaahp” and “bahpah.” yet another reason dora is my one true god.

i’ve successfully found places for everything that z got. and she got a shiteload. kinda the antithesis of this minimalism goal i’ve got, but whatevs. here’s what i had to find homes for:

• 2 hoodies, 1 summer outfit, socks, 3 pairs of pjs, 3 pairs of pants and 10 shirts;
• 1 bathtime finger paint kit;
• 1 Vtech VSmile Baby “educational system;”
• 4 teddy bears, 1 elf, 1 pig, 1 penguin, 1 dog and 2 webkinz;
• 1 dora colour wonders kit;
• 2 puzzles;
• some dora figure guys, elephants and a hippo;
• a teddy bear backpack and dora’s talking backpack;
• the supermagnadoodle thingie;
• a see n’ say;
• 15 books and 4 DVDs; and
• a dora dish set.

it is safe to assume that the pressure will now be on fh to get his stuff out of the apt (it has been over five months, now). it’s being shoved out by dora, anyways!

now…to find a frickin toy box! and a dora potty (best.potty.training.list.ever.)

on a humourous note: babycentre sent me an update email today, since it’s z’s 17 month birthday. apparently soon, she’ll be giving up her morning nap. hahahahahaha. can you say, “she did that over 8 months ago and now i dread the possibility of losing the afternoon one, too”?
