onto better things.
yesterday stargirl baked me a cake and made z and i dinner in honour of my bday. it was awesomeness, by definition. i also got some pressies from her in the form of a geek-releasing anatomy-name-derivation book, the hugest (and softest) towel i’ve ever cuddled and hedgehogs. mmm hedgehogs. she let z open her pressie for xmas, too, and what do you know? everyone poops!
i spent a shiteload of moolah of my unexpected 2004 tax refund. k, not a lot, under $150, but still that’s a lot to me. it was mostly on z, more xmas presents in the form of dora movies and clothes. i also caved and got her a cool drop waisted dress, for like, holiday dress purposes. she will rock it.
she fell asleep in the stroller and so now, is without napping commitment. ungh.
tonite we’re putting up our (first ever!) tree and i am so excited, you’d think david usher was in my stocking. this is what half of the moolah went towards – pretty ornamentalia. i am going to be in heart with my blue and silver theme. wait for love letters.
more work. more cleaning. more tired.
bitchbitchbitch. that’s all i ever do.
except when i was laughing at zoë’s repeated daddy kissing. she closes her eyes and cups his face and plants a big one on him, without any tongue, for once. and it’s like something out of a soap opera and i swear, it’s cryable, it’s so sweet.
it’s a new thing. accept it.
i am almost done my exmas shopping. how are YOU doing?
now it’s just my neighbour’s kid, one small thing for my client’s kid who is z’s age and some photo developing. the rest of the seven weeks will be filled with xmas cards, and buying an xmas spread (tree, decorations, paper, and seasonal dishware! etc.), crafting, baking and planning! and spoiling z more, as money allows.
oh and i am super excited because there is a new santa clause movie coming out and i love the tim allen/santa series.
