Stuff like that hits me every once in a while. Just the right message, in just the right cadence and I’m bawling a lot. Then the next day, I feel a little cleaner.

Neat. In some ways I've done a good job of letting go of the past. In others, I've still got a ways to go. I read a thing about abuse recently, and one of the comments was how the gal had once had a lover who was a victim of childhood abuse, and it wasn't until much later that she realized *that* was why he was so lacking in direction and focus. I worried that I didn't have enough direction or focus. I cried. A lot. But the next day was better, and we keep on keepin' on. *HUGS* Visit Al_Pal to read...My new creative outlet: Bread Puddings!

I love the last paragraphs. I love the idea that we are teaching our daughters to be independent and strong and brilliant but we are leaving it open for so much more.
