On Intuitive Fashion Sense

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who, from a very young age, was allowed to make her own clothing choices.

Why? Because she knew what she was doing.

That, if you can’t tell, is: a white baby doll tank over a white long-sleeve, with skater-punk touque, flared faded jeans and Airwalk runners. My little Betty *coo*.

That’s the same jeans and shoes, with a faded tie-dye dress and sequined butterfly zip hoody. She rocked the ensembles, what else can I say?

But then, a monster was created and she went a little too Chloe Sevigny.

I give you:

What. The. Fuck.

  • Looks like the making of a "Living Out LOUD" rebel in the house. Wait till she hits the punk ass stage and it's all black and gray with a mix of emo. (Hugs)Indigo

Seriously, I think the girls need to have their own fashion mags ... I mean, matching and pulled together outfits are soooooo yesterday...

The look on her face in the last picture had me laughing out loud. I'm still snickering over it.

    Utterly priceless.

Kids are a war! You've got to choose your battles carefully.

I actually don't see anything wrong with it--She had all of the essentials covered. But I'm a guy and have zero fashion sense so my opinion doesn't count.

  • Many days I let the girls pick what they want to wear, and many days I have to have a disclaimer when I drop them off at school. They didn't get the fashion-sense bug, but neither did I.
