On breaking

I’m going to take a few days’ break. I’ve got an asston of work to tackle, and some work I’d like to do with the overall site design and content. So, while Isobel does this:

I’ll be writing and cutting and pasting. Revamping and adding and taking away. Any suggestion that you have for changes are welcome – I’d love to hear what you think needs improving, is missing or is too much.

I’ll be back, shortly.

  • I don't really care what it looks like. Not one bit. What matters here is you. Reading you. Listening to you; seeing you grow and change and adapt as a person. Seeing how much you love your little girl. That's what brings me back here - every day. It is NOT your layout. It's YOU.

  • CM: I think I'll spend more time focusing on reorganizing categories, eliminating and editing the pages and making it look prettified. I'm mostly about aesthetics, after all.
  • Flickr: If I can figure out a way to have that as the background with this template, I'll do it up.
  • RLM: Ya thinks that with a blogroll, the footer might be rescued? Any suggestions?
  • Hockeyman: Duly noted, thanks! I personally love the write space, but agree that the header leaves something to be desired. And yup, I'm going to have to get on those subscription stuffs.

    and i really liked the layout of your site, i think it was two changes ago. i commented on it. it was purdy and pink and black and white.

  • I did this. I went post by post. I told myself I would only leave what I could honestly say I was proud of. I went from 400 posts to 150, but then again, I am a crazy-hard bitch on myself. Do not drive yourself crazy. Just trust it.
  • I should be breaking too. But I'm not (well, sort of, but anyways)...I really liked the template you had with the sort of black floral-ey design? Remember that one? It was super cute.

    I like the stuff at the bottom ;)
