We did the flu with Jr. last week while we were on vacation. I'm considering burning the car seat. Sadly, burning your apartment isn't really an option....

Since I know from plurk that she was the best sharer ever and gave this to you, I hope you're both feeling better. The BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) is the way to go. For both of you.

Aw, poor little baby! That sucks for both of you! I hope she feels better soon. Uh maybe you'd better just wear one of those paper masks like doctors wear, so YOU don't catch it!

UGH I hate fevers and I hate puke. The two make me kind of antsy. Like, really antsy. Like, want to stalk my doctor, antsy.

I hope she feels better and I hope you can keep the flu from getting to you! Take care of yourself!!

Ugh. So sorry. I know that smell and vomit wardrobe all too well. Most important is hydration. Not to worry if she's not hungry. Popsicles seemed to be the only thing our little one would take when like this. Hang in there.

According to my pediatrician, water is the hardest thing for sick stomachs to keep down. Their suggestions were to try ginger ale (let it go flat first) or pedialyte. Only give her a tablespoon at a time, or she'll lose it all again. (Put it in one of those tiny cups for dispensing medicine, so she thinks it's a fun little cup, rather than a mostly empty one.) If she keeps it down, you can give her another tablespoon or two after about 10 minutes. Or, let her such on a pedialyte popsicle. Good luck. I know how awful this is!

Nothing fun at all about taking care of sick kids. It's just so sad, especially when they are so young. Best wishes of rest and feeling better to you both.

Oh you poor girl. Both of you. My husband and all 3 of my kids had that vomit/diarrhea thing a few years ago. At the same time. During Christmas. Good times, good times.
