What do you people want from me?

That sounded very rude, didn’t it?
What I mean to say is this…um, in all humbleness and such…
I’m getting more traffic and comments. I feel the need to start some sort of a ‘you comment, I follow’ deal, but, uh…I also can’t stand it when someone only leaves me a comment after I leave them one, you know? Obvious as fuck that they really aren’t into me and are just being polite. Cuz if you were into me, you’dve subscribed and we’d trade witty emails back and forth or be on each others IM thingies while talking about pron on plurk.
So. Let’s rehash.
I have poor time management (thank you, Plurk), low motivation during normal waking hours, a child who will spontaneously not sleep or throw shit at me while she’s awake and I love your comments. And even though I blogged for 3.5 years with 0-5 comments on almost every single post and would continue to do so, I’m pretty much loving the days I get near (or a few times, I think, above) 20.
I want to reply to you. I want to encourage you all to come back, with my amazing wit (and rack). I want to speak to people who aren’t on Plurk. (WTF aren’t you on Plurk?) I want a banana split.
Mostly, I’m just wondering, since I’m that person who forgets to check blogs back for responses - does anyone dig that? Or should I just install that little plugin that will allow me to respond both on here AND it will be emailed to you?
One more thing…who wants in on the Petite Anglaise goes around the world thing I’m setting up?

If I know someone replies to comments in their comments, I will come back to the entry. I use the wordpress plugin on my site that allows you to respond and email, but the problem with that is that you can only respond to one person at a time, so if you have ten people you want to respond to, you have to do it individually. On the plus side it makes you look like you have WAAAAY more comments t han you really do!
I can’t stand it when people only visit me because they want the return visit. For a while I was getting upwards of 15 comments per entry and the number was going up. Then I stopped visiting a lot of blogs (including people I really did like) because of time constraints and my comments plummeted. That was somewhat disappointing, but now I know the people who visit me REALLY do like me and I’d rather have those few than fifty that only visit me because I visit them.
Did that make sense?
Anyway, I subscribe to you, but I don’t plurk. Time constraint thing. Plus, I get all butthurt when I write something and get zero responses. So I don’t put myself in situations like that anymore.
Well, for now at least.
The minute you start returning comments just because they are there, and making comments to expect them in return, you’re screwed.
I knew you existed but only read first about 10 days ago? and I like your balls.
