Random thoughts for the day:
- Remember that everything you put in writing is admissable in court.
- Almost everyone that I have in my everyday life has been prescribed antidepressants at some point.
- These rice cakes are not keeping my weight up anymore. Must exercise less.
- A giveaway is coming up in the fall. You’ll like it. I promise.
- Isobel’s bday is going to cost me an assload. But it’s okay cuz I’ve got helpers and I think everyone will really enjoy themselves.
- A new post is up at Panache. Have you subscribed, yet?
- My grandparents sent Isobel a bunch of books and some cash for her bday. She picked out a movie with her money and later danced the whole time it was on, almost. Yes, it was Barbie. And yes, my pre-Isobel morals have gone out the window.
- I’m starting to get paranoid about spending money. Even though we’re fine right now. I’m concerned about not being fine, later or some unexpected cost with the move, or something. This is not allowing me to buy a new bed or laptop.
- I’ve been approached to write (for free, but byline) the content for a website. Based on my sassiness. I think that’s a compliment, since it’s not a website about how to be a crazy bitch. It’d be a lot of articles, a lot of work, but I think that in the long and short term, it’d be great experience for my resume. And kind of fun.
- I have eight days to pack and clean. Sigh.
- I’ve been wondering during the last day or so what our lives would be like right now, if I hadn’t miscarried. Would JDawg still be here? Would I be plurking so much? How fat would I be?
- That spot that I dug the shit out of back in February? It’s back.
- Tomorrow, we’ll be eating a real, honest to god, meal if it kills me. Cuz all of this snacking by Isobel is costing us a fortune. So maybe, she’ll have to cope with six mini meals a day, instead of 10 snacks. Butter chicken with avocado and broccoli, over brown rice is what’s for dinner. (Thank you, crock pot)
- I think I’m also going to go and buy some fabric and figure out how to make no-sew toss cushions tomorrow.
- Also on the short-term agenda: I’m going to start a crocheted blanket for Isobel’s big girl bed, which a friend will be picking up for us by the end of the month! It’s going to be alternating squares of electric blue, lavender and white - kinda like a patchwork quilt.
- I love hot chocolate.
- I found out today that my grandfather has Alzheimers. I should be sad, but I’m not, since I don’t really know him and my dad and the rest of the family avoided him for decades. I’m sorry he’s going to have to go through that, but I don’t feel personally affected, you know?
- I’m thinking of getting a tattoo. Like a spur of the moment one. If I do, you’ll know it.
- Isobel is so effing beautiful and starting to look so much more like her own person, now, instead of sometimes me or JDawg.
