retrain

hippy girlmy least favourite thing about her getting sick? re-sleep-training. everytime, we have to start all over again, just like when she was six months old. it works, eventually, but oh the tackiness of it all.

today she seems to be getting better, health wise. she had some dancing moments, some laughs, some hamming it up, etc. that is not the child she’s been for most of the last week, and it is so welcome.

of course, that will not stop her from demanding to be carried everywhere. so today, coinciding with her feeling better, mean mommy came out to play.

mean mommy will not carry zoë everywhere. she won’t hold having to pee for hours, for a good moment according to z. she will make dinner, even thought it means that z will at some point, come crying, stumbling, leaking and pull down mommy’s pants as she tries to climb her.

whimsymost of all, mean mommy does not sleep upright with z; she has the audacity to rock her while singing a couple of songs and coating her in 13 kisses and 4 hugs and then a quick back rub and then, do you know what she does? she leaves the room with z in it in her crib alone, walking back wards and blowing kisses the whole time. that bitch, eh?

today, while she was having some good moments, i got to snap these two pics. picture a is kinda hippy childish, but is missing snot; picture b, snot-infused, yet whimsically appropriate to include with exmas cards.

(granola bar, and all)

help me choose which one to send to distant family.
