in my crackpot. today it’s beef strips, broccoli, rice, beef stock and teriyaki sauce. if it doesn’t go well, there’s a lasagne in the freezer.
i’m waiting for z to fall asleep so i can take out my garbage. it’s been a couple of days and i cleaned out my fridge so it’s…aromatic. putting it lightly. couple old tomatoes and poopy diapers and you know what i’m talkin aboot. the problem is that i can only take it out when she’s sleeping or if someone’s with us cuz i have to carry her down the stairs. our garbage is outside and you have to unlock the thing, plus there’s recycling sorting. i just throw everything into one bag and then sort it when i go down there. and the last couple of days, her sleeping has been erratic so i haven’t been able to vanquish my trash.
or upload my pics from hallowe’en. or work.
yesterday she woke up from her 37 minute nap with a cold and last night had a fever before bed so 1.4 mLs of advil later, she was ready to go down. unfortunately, she did not stay down and woke up 5 times between 8pm and 2am. i ended up getting 3 hours sleep before she woke up again at 530. i’m looking forward to it’s full-force snot-a-thon and the subsequent ear infection (and $50 in antibiotics).
so today has been an inside day, thus far. we built stuff with mega blocks, put on a play (for no audience) with mega blocks and little people ‘guys,’ watched the jungle book while singing and dancing, built a fort, played with mommy’s yarn stash and took a bath just for fun. it’s boring, being a 15 month old, when you’re 26 years and 11 months old.
she also learned how to squeeze underneath her crib today. and get stuck. i had to pull her out by her feet.
i also discovered that i can get some crocheting done while she’s in the bathtub, playing. this is golden cuz before, i had to be within a foot 100% of the time because she’d bail every third step and all she wanted to do was circle the tub. apparently, if you add in bubbles and a lot of toys, she’ll sit and play. who knew? first step, crocheting; next step, paperwork.
i think she may have dropped off while cuddling with her ‘iggly squiggly lion’ book and repeatedly saying the noise lions make, “wahw!”
oh, you didn’t know? some kids, they sleep with soothers, some with a stuffie. mine, it’s books. she’s awesomely weird, eh?
