i'm gonna take my broom and sweep all of the dirt out in the street

i bruised my tailbone but i won’t say how and it hurts to sit now. imagine how much my toilet seat is not my friend during constipated moments.

tomorrow while fh is here i will pop up to london drugs to procure the specially-ordered, last-week’s sale priced slow cooker that i am buying. yes, i’m cool.

i am half done the airmail pressie, so it will be posted about soonish, after i also post the baby layette bits i finished and OH finish my j-o-b before the end of the month. yes, last night i found out that there is some work that must be done in the next nine days otherwise my client will face a late penalty from the gov’t. and i do not want to be the person causing that.

plus a paycheque would be cool.

things that will make this xmas kick ass, unlike last year’s:

  • no tail-end of colic, coupled with breastfeeding (seemingly) endlessly;
  • no pity invites;
  • no apologies necessary to my family;
  • a lot more silence;
  • no pregnancy weight =ing esteem issues;
  • more moolah;
  • having a tree and decorations!
  • spoiling the monkey princess cos she’ll know what’s up more this year than last and we’re planning so we’ll be able to;
  • also being able to spoil everyone else;
  • giving street people xmas dinner, as a new family tradition;
  • starting most of dinner hella early and prepping what i can the day before so it’s minimal work and i can focus on drinking and washing dishes;
  • being able to DRINK;
  • spending the last few weeks before it watching xmas movie after xmas movie and teaching z to worship santa and then tell her he’s coming on xmas eve!
  • making my neighbour’s kid’s birthday special cuz he’ll be three and he’s already been screwed enough, just cos him and jesus have the same bday.

    word. most of my slow cooking is that way - yet, it always revolves around root veggie and beef - gets boring after awhile. lemme know what works for you!

  • for sure! but i rarely use recipes for anything. i am going to do what i always do and just throw a bunch of shit in a pot and it 98% of the time works out amazing
