we went to metrotown this morning and she fell asleep in the stroller before even 11am. nap time is OFF and by off, i mean is her screaming, shrieking, stamping and stoic in her crib right now. tough love=ringing ears.
i just went in to rock her and try to reason. i pretended to sleep, too. i sang another song and i tried just rubbing her back or laying a hand on her while she laid down in her crib. and yet the wailing continues. a public health nurse has said that she’s not going through separation anxiety – she’s testing me. and i’m supposed to do what about this? oh, nip it now, while it will be easier (on me, mostly).
sigh.
twas a good mall-trip though. got supplies for the airmail present. instead of black and red, got sort of a blood red and a smoky grey. should look safistimicated. or something.
also found a dora stuffed animal for less than $5. and something else that i don’t remember.
then we went to the food court and saw a woman feeding her nine-month old KFC. ummm. this is a tempting thing to judge but then again, zoë had mexifries (that i pressed the grease out of, but you know there’s still a crap load in there) and me a beef soft taco. she didn’t like the taco cuz of all the shredded lettuce.
trueblue blueberry/cranberry cocktail is like johnny depp in your bed, naked. so good, you may go back for seconds and thirds and…
had the grand idea that we should all, meaning bloggers, have teeshirts that we wear. start a company, someone and call it “blogwear.” in the same little miss and little mister style, we’d all have __________ blogger, as a label, you know?
my tee would be an extra-long vneck worn-in almost see-through cotton one – seafoam green. thought of some people’s, can you think of who you are?: covert, important, smut, mental, sporadic, mommy, punk, etc.
i guess it’s a good thing i type fast. because she’s got 3 more minutes until i throw the nap towel in the ring and declare this an early bedtime day.
now she seems to be falling asleep…figures. 10 mins before i would ideally want her to be awake.
onto work, then.
