flurries on the forecast

so there’s been some changes at home. i don’t know what the future holds but i do know that from this moment forward, i am moving proactively and with concern for zoë’s benefit and then my own. and then anyone else who deserves the concern – people who care about zoë and me. like all of you wonderful geeks bloggers, for instance.

first order of business was to clean – hey guess what, without violent depression emanating, it was as relaxing and successful feeling as it always used to be!

third order of business was to eat some yogurt and drink some milk. done and done.

next on the agenda is to quit smoking. a bit more intensive that the past few eh? but at the least, i’m quitting around zoë and therefore only when she’s facing away in the stroller or sleeping. it’s just too guilt-inspiring, watching her watch my smoke curl against the outside of our living room window.

Eek. Good luck with all of that. God, I wish I were there to help to take care of you. But that is my own pathology, and is better kept under control.

Part native, huh? Any govt subsidies due your way?

Best of luck with the relationship with your ma.

  • "Hey, if one cig keeps me from wanting to rip everyone a new you-know-what, then I think it’s okay"

    A "you-know-what"??

What if i don't know what Amordon?
My mind is a fickle beast that should not be let loose running amuck (what? it's a word!) betwixed (now that really is a word!!) my ear lobes.

I sir or madam, am a heavy heavy smoker and the only things i fancy ripping when in need of smokies is a freash deck o' 20 or a little comp of punk classics.... what (indeed) are you intending to rip in this moment of pure and pathetic addiction riddled desperation?

... i was gonna smoke but luky for Amordon i'll offer a small pop quiz before-hand.

    Is Amordon gonna rip?

A)Off a Fiddy cent CD west coast style?

    B) A Phone book in half?

    or lucky...

    C) Someones face right off their nazi-non-smoking-P.C-tree-hugging-tofu-fancy-ing-stupid-X-Factor-watching-arse-of-an-ape-looking shoulders?

I've now been a quitter since the end of January (smoking while drinking still gets me sometimes though), but with a stressful week behind me I've been dragging my foot behind the wagon and trying not to fall off. (Hey, if one cig keeps me from wanting to rip everyone a new you-know-what, then I think it's okay).

  • I quit Cigarettes!
    I'm on Cigars now...

...ahh the old ones are the best ones.

  • Sounds scary. Good luck! I'll follow.

  • i think i can guess what has happened. i think you're probably breathing a little easier now. i think you're gonna be a-ok.

  • good luck quitting smoking. i have seen my mom battle smoking (quitting and starting, quitting and starting...but i think brooklyn has finally made her quit for good) for about 15 years now, so i know it's not easy work, but it will be worth it. just warn your friends that you may be a tad bitchy for awhile in the early stages!
