i wake up this morning and hear on the radio that the 2006 UN drug report has been published and that BC makes up 40% of canada’s pot growing. also the report says that marijuana use is spiraling out of control, worldwide and that bc bud rivals the effects of cocaine or heroin.
i know that i’m a vancouverite for a couple of reasons after hearing this:
- i went “woohoo! we rock!”
- followed by “i should hope so. we have won the cannabis cup several times”
- and “oh, no. OUT OF CONTROL. there’ll be a whole legion of stoned rapists, if they can get out of their chairs and stop eating brownies”
- and finally “i don’t think that the people doing these studies have ever used coke or heroin. i’ve never vomited all over myself, hallucinated and felt like my bones were made of acid when i couldn’t smoke a joint”
the doctor said “oh no. a legion of quiet, happy people, eating captain crunch and watching cartoons.”
this is why we get along so well sometimes – he’s obviously a genius, and quite funny, just like me.
