come player, come, why don't you play with me?

Raymi wrote this blog and it made me think – like a lot of shit does. why is it that crazy/not sane people are typically attracted to personalities like their own? specifically, why do all of my close friends, the ones that i feel a deep-seated connection with, have similar mental drama to me?
why do the people who talk to the doctor on the street always tend to be bipolar or schizophrenic? he’s not mental, in any way more than most people would be considered so.

is there a chemical, like pheramones, that attracts us to each other?

is it just a commonality that makes life easier, when you’re surrounded by people who get why you don’t want to get out of bed? go outside. take a shower. eat. sober up. not chainsmoke even though your tongue and throat are burning. wear dirty underwear over doing the laundry. methodically make lists of things that you’ll never do. ways to conquer the world. get a PhD. become independantly wealthy. increase your confrontation skills. organize your sock drawer. line up your hair and body and face shit. all in a row. like how your books are organized by type, then author, then series, then title. and why the cds and dvds and videos have to be back in the correct cases, facing the same direction?

do a lot of us, and by us, i mean the chemically unbalanced, have the same rules and practices and ideals and IQs? is it true that the craziest people in the world’s history have also been the most genius? there’s obviously a connection between creativity and depression. and sometimes, okay, most of the time, chemical dependance of some sort.

as if martha stewart isn’t a closet wino. she just drinks the good stuff. but then again, martha’s a business woman – her creativity is probably mass produced by a staff of manic depressives.

wouldn’t it be sweet if all of us could band together and…what would we do?

probably talk about how we never do anything. or enough. or something worthwhile. or how much effort it takes to make it to the annual meeting of the crazies. i mean, it would be a whole two blocks away.
