we found an apartment! it’s 100 sq/ft better than those other fucker’s apartment, and for the same rent – $850.
it’s in the far west end, 5 blocks from the beach, has dark blue walls and a green-fixtured bathroom. it’s older looking, but has nice honey-coloured hardwood floors, and since we offered to paint the bedroom and bathroom, they’re giving us free rent for the month of january. now, i have to pick out paint colours! woohoo. interior design terra steps in, to run the show. one of the bestest things about the place is that the property manager said that we seemed like nice kids and that he was excited for us to be parents in 6 months.
Nancy went with us, since we were taking her out for a birthday brunch right afterwards, and i think it definately swung it in our favour that she was talking about jeremy’s brother, and how he’s going to school in beijing, and speaks mandarin, cantonese, korean, japanese, french and english. then i cut in some joke about how he makes us look like underachievers, jeremy and i, since we both only speak 2 languages. he thought we were a really funny family. family. whoa.
